America's Beloved Tenor Daniel Rodriguez, This site is a tribute to Tenor Daniel Rodriguez

2007

Daniel received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his tireless support of the USO, at their 25th Annual Awards Dinner on March 27th, in Washington D.C.  He has performed at many USO functions during his career, and has raised funds for,  and donated his music to, the USO Care Package Program

"I am honored to be given such a great award. I just don’t know if I'm deserving of it.  If you compare me to the men and women who are in the pit of hell and fighting for the freedoms that we hold dear, then it is easy to see that there are those more deserving than me of a patriot award.  But if this award means that I love my country and I never miss an opportunity to show that love in my actions, especially where our soldiers are concerned, then I accept this award on behalf of all patriots."

Special Recognition
People have referred to me as 'America's Tenor,' or 'The Voice That Healed a Nation.'   I feel very, very proud to be given those titles, because music to me was always a ministry. I feel that I've been blessed with a voice that touches people, and my responsibility is to share it with as many as possible and so if that comes with a title or whatnot, I'll try to represent the title to the best of my ability.
